Colleen Stevenson's Background
My parents got me into drawing as a young child to keep me quiet during church! I never learned to keep quiet or attend church but I have been doodling ever since.
My formal education includes:
a BA in philosophy from Queen's University
Montessori elementary training with Irma Rodrigues, Victoria BC
Permaculture design at Bullocks Permaculture homestead, WA
I have been extremely fortunate to have had a rich and varied working life. I have been a gourmet cook, an organic micro-farmer in Metchosin, BC, a special needs tutor, a writer about west coast native plants, a homeschooling mama and a Montessori teacher trainer in Ghana, West Africa.
Currently, I live downtown Victoria, BC, Canada with my beautiful family, our edible backyard and wee flock of chickens.
